Adults should strive for 150 minutes of exercise every week, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, a study produced by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. This activity should ideally be spaced out over the course of the week and include both aerobic and weight training. Thirty-minute workouts five days a week are a wonderful approach to get to 150 total minutes, but they're not the only method.

Shorter bursts of movement (called "exercise nibbles") can be mixed throughout the day to fulfill the necessary amount, according to research. In certain circumstances, a series of short workouts might regulate blood sugar better than a single longer session.
